4-rotor rotary tedder Z525/3
Working width 5,2 m · 4 rotors · 24 double spring tines · PTO 540 rpm
Z525/3 operates on a width of 5,2 m with four rotors with 24 double spring tines. Weight 455 kg, power requirement 34 kW, tractor class minimum 0,9. Side arms fold hydraulically for transport.
Greater width
Z525/3 is a four-rotor variant of the Z525 series with a working width of 5,2 m. The machine is suspended on a three-point hitch system, driven by the PTO 540 rpm. The quality of work is determined by the setting of the tine height, driving speed 6–12 km/h and even distribution of the swath.
5,2 m in one run.
The four rotors cover a 5,2 m working width. Dimensions in operating position: 2000 × 4800 × 1220 mm.
34 kW and class minimum 0,9.
Power requirement 34 kW, pulling force minimum 9 kN, drive from PTO 540 rpm. one-person operation.
Hydraulically foldable arms.
Hydraulics lift the outer rotors vertically; after unlocking the mechanism, the outer rotors are rotated manually by 180°, with the tines inwards.
How to select and set up a machine
Tine height
The tines should work in the swath, not in the soil. The working height is set by changing the length of the top link so that the front tines are 6–10 mm above the ground; the support wheels follow the unevenness of the terrain.
Speed
The working speed 6–12 km/h is selected according to the amount of mass and evenness of the meadow. The rotor speed is 340 rpm at 540 rpm on the PTO.
Terrain slope
Working on slopes exceeding 8,5° is unacceptable. The transport speed must not exceed 15 km/h.
Key technologies
Four rotors, two-stage folding
First, the hydraulic cylinders lift the outer rotors vertically. Only after unlocking the mechanism, the outer rotors are manually rotated by 180°, pointing the tines inwards.
WORK · 5,2 M1 · HYDRAULICS2 · MANUAL 180°
The four rotors are distributed symmetrically over a working width of 5,2 m.
The hydraulic cylinders lift the outer rotors to a vertical position.
After unlocking, the outer rotors are rotated manually, with the tines inwards.

Four rotors on a floating frame

Floating suspension system
The central stand connects the machine to the three-point linkage, and the floating geometry allows the frame to work relative to the tractor. The wheels copy unevenness, while the height of the tines is set by the length of the top link.
The drive is divided into four gears
The torque from the PTO goes through the main gear and goes to the bevel gearboxes at the rotors. The system maintains alternating directions of rotation of adjacent assemblies.
Four rotors with 24 tines
Four rotors cover a 5,2 m working width. Each unit carries six arms with double tines, so the material is turned rhythmically over the entire width.
Hydraulic lifting of the side arms
Cylinders lift the side arms vertically from the tractor's hydraulic circuit. Thanks to this, the preparation of the main part of the machine for transport takes place without manually lifting the sections.
Four wheels following the terrain
Each rotor has its own support close to the work zone. The wheels respond to local irregularities, allowing the tines to maintain a more even distance from the turf.
