Double-disc fertiliser spreader JMS

Mounted spreader with a double-disc spreading device. Working width 10–21 m, load capacity 600, 800 or 1000 kg.

JMS 600, JMS 800 and JMS 1000 differ in load capacity, unladen weight and tank height. Disc drive from PTO shaft 540 rpm, dose range 80–740 kg/ha, unladen weight from 210 to 260 kg. For a tractor of class 1,4, the fertiliser mass in the hopper is 800 kg.

Overview

Mineral Fertilization on the Farm

JMS is a three-point linkage mounted machine with a metal hopper and two metering openings in the bottom. Fertiliser is spread by the centrifugal force of two discs driven by the PTO shaft via a central gearbox and two side bevel gears. The repeatability of work is influenced by: setting the dosing lever, setting the blades on the discs, maintaining the rotation speed 540 rpm and the driving speed in the range 4–13 km/h.

Working widths from 10 to 21 m are achieved by adjusting the long and short vanes according to the selection table, separately for urea and other fertilisers.

The machine's unladen weight ranges from 210 kg to JMS 600 to 260 kg to JMS 1000. The PTO shaft is not included in the standard equipment and must be marked CE.

Dose setting

Dose from 80 to 740 kg/ha, set by a lever in positions 0–10.

Position 0 fully closes the metering openings and position 10 opens them fully. After changing fertiliser, verify the setting against the application-rate chart.

Selection and operation

How to set up the machine for operation

Dosage

The lever with the adjustment knob operates in positions from 0 to 10 and controls two dosing holes. The machine's dosage range is 80–740 kg/ha; the setting is selected from the dosage table located on the side of the tank.

Width

The working width of 10, 12, 15, 18 or 21 m is adjusted by moving the long and short vanes on the discs. Separate settings apply for urea.

Operation and transport

Operating speed 4–13 km/h, transport speed up to 15 km/h, transport clearance 300 mm. The permissible slope is 8°, and the noise level is 83 dB(A).

Hydraulics and Dose Setting — JMS

The gate valve closes. The setting remains.

The knob locks the lever at the selected scale position 0–10. The actuator can close and reopen the two dosing ports without losing the selected stroke limit.

The "7" position is an example of the mechanism's operation, not a ready dose. The correct setting is selected from the table for the fertiliser and operating conditions.

  1. The limiter is set to the selected scale position 0–10, and the valves remain closed.

  2. The limiter determines the maximum valve opening.

  3. Two discs spread the fertiliser using centrifugal force, and the vane setting determines the working width.

  4. The knob position does not change during closing.

Slide

Models JMS 600, 800, and 1000 differ in hopper capacity. The hopper is available powder-coated or galvanised, with stainless steel being an option.

  2. Hydraulic Gate Control

    The actuator and linkage open two metering openings simultaneously. A setting limiter allows for the previously set rate to be returned to the previously set rate after closing.

  3. Double Disc Spreader

    Two discs with a steel mechanism spread the fertiliser using centrifugal force. The vane setting determines the working width.

  4. three-point linkage frame

    The frame connects the spreader to the tractor's rear three-point linkage and transfers the hopper load to the lower pins and the upper link.
